Alliance has become so much more than a place to train. It has become a second home for our family. Our daughter loves being here, and we've watched her grow in confidence, respect, discipline, and friendships through Jiu Jitsu. As for me, I've found a community that challenges me, supports me, inspires me to improve every day, and reminds me why I fell in love with jiu-jitsu in the first place.

My brother Brent and I moved to the Treasure Valley in late 2024, and one of our first priorities was finding a new jiu jitsu academy. It didn't take long to discover Alliance, and choosing to root ourselves there was an easy decision.
From day one, we were welcomed by supportive coaches and an instant sense of camaraderie from our new teammates. It was exactly the kind of environment we were hoping to find.

As a middle-aged woman stepping onto the mats for the first time, I was understandably nervous about starting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. From day one, the team at Alliance Jiu-Jitsu made me feel completely welcome and supported. The atmosphere is friendly, respectful, and inclusive, regardless of your age or experience level. One of the things I appreciate most is the emphasis on safety. The instructors take the time to teach proper technique, encourage controlled training, and foster an environment where everyone looks out for one another. I've never felt pressured to do more than I'm comfortable with, which has allowed me to build confidence while learning. If you've ever considered trying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu but felt intimidated, especially as an adult or a woman, I can't recommend Alliance Jiu-Jitsu enough. It's a place where you'll be challenged, encouraged, and supported every step of the way.
